Who This Is For
Is This Training Right for You?
This training is designed for adults preparing to serve as a chaperone for someone participating in an Adult Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP). Whether you are here on a referral from a treatment provider or you sought this training on your own, you are in the right place.
You are a family member, spouse, partner, or designated adult preparing to serve in a formal chaperone role.
You have been referred to complete chaperone training by a treatment provider or supervising officer.
You want to understand your responsibilities, legal obligations, and boundaries before signing a chaperone contract.
You are committed to supporting both community safety and the treatment process for the individual in treatment.
This training is appropriate for chaperones working with any adult SOTP program, regardless of which treatment provider is involved.

Important Information
What This Training Does and Does Not Do
This training certifies that you have completed the educational requirements for the chaperone role. It does not replace the formal chaperone contract process.
The chaperone contract, which makes your role official, is completed separately with the individual in treatment's therapist or treatment provider, the client, and the supervising officer. That process happens outside of this course and is specific to the individual in treatment's case.
Your Certificate of Completion is the document you bring to that meeting as proof of training. If you have questions about the contract process or the specific requirements of the treatment program, contact the treatment provider or supervising officer directly.
